Charming the birds off the trees is a set expression which has a charming meaning – even expressions can be so very charming, fancy that! People who are described as the ones who are good at charming the birds off their trees are real charmers in the most meaningful sense of this description.

They are skilful when it's about turning the opposite sex's heads and breaking people's hearts, charming something out of a partner or a colleague (boss) – anything that would eventually contribute to their either spiritual or material well-being.

They know no restrictions or rules when it's about using their charm. They make the most of it by showing their perfect way with words and i.e. making people believe they are all genuine and true even if it's slightly wrong and in reality they use their charm solely to achieve some sort of selfish goal.
